Getting Ready in Rose Hill Estate Wedding Suite
The morning of a wedding at Rose Hill Estate is filled with anticipation. The bride gets ready in the estate’s charming bridal suite. A space full of natural light, antique mirrors, and historic details that felt like they were made for wedding mornings. Surrounded by her closest friends, there is plenty of laughter, a few happy tears, and emotions of calm and excitement.
Meanwhile, the groom prepares in the estate’s main room with his groomsmen. The space provides the ideal backdrop for candid photos with celebratory toasts, cufflinks being secured, and a game of poker before the day begins.
These getting-ready moments are always some of my favorites when they capture the anticipation and connection before the couple even sees each other.

This ceremony at Rose Hill Estate takes place by the stunning pond. They are surrounded by greenery, a blue pond, and elegant swans swimming in the background. The space feels secluded and peaceful, yet carries the grandeur of a classic southern estate.

After the ceremony, we photographed wedding party portraits across Rose Hill Estate’s expansive grounds. The group celebrated with energy, laughter, and joy. We then snuck away for couple’s portraits, exploring timeless backdrops like the historic estate, the reflective pond, and lush greenery.
These portraits highlighted the venue’s elegance while giving the couple quiet moments together away from the crowd. I love this part of the day because it lets newlyweds pause, breathe, and soak in their “just married” joy.
Then the Wedding Reception Begins
The couple welcomed their guests into the estate’s ballroom, where charming details blended seamlessly with refined design. Crystal chandeliers sparkled overhead while guests found their seats for dinner, surrounded by stunning tables that created the perfect backdrop for photos.
The couple danced beneath the chandeliers, sharing their first dance as family and friends looked on with happy tears. Loved ones gave heartfelt toasts that filled the room with laughter and emotion, capturing just how cherished the couple truly is. After cutting the cake, they opened the dance floor, and guests quickly filled it with energy and celebration late into the night.
Rose Hill Estate framed every moment beautifully, from elegant dining to the vibrant party that followed. One of my favorite highlights to photograph came when the couple poured their champagne tower, kicking off the reception with style and excitement.
