I'm McKenna, an east coast wedding photographer capturing memories from the mountains to the ocean in NC, SC, VA, TN, GA, and anywhere else in the US.

​My style of photography focuses less on perfection and more on documenting the real and raw moments in life.

Working with me brings lots of laughter, movement, and storytelling while we get to know each other and create incredible candid images together. I'm always excited to go on new adventures and create exciting experience for my couples to enoy. Let's work together!

A LITTLE ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

My photography style focuses on human connections. I approach my weddings and elopements like a documentary photographer there to capture all the relationships between the people you've chosen to celebrate your day with.

I get to know you and your partner better to be able to tell your unique story. We usually become life friends through the process of planning/timelines, engagement sessions, and the wedding day. I love getting to know your families, celebrating with your wedding party on the day, and cheering (from behind my camera) along with your guests during your sendoff. 

Photography became even more important to me after losing my grandma and realizing how few images we had together. Since then my passion grew for capturing candid photos of my couples' family and friends at their weddings. Memories are one of the only things you take away from your wedding day and I'm honored to document those memories for you to look back on.

I WASN’T ALWAYS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I'm one of those photographers that's had a camera in hand since I was a kid. I actually have an album of Barbie wedding photos I took when I was 8 years old with my sister. That really should've been my wake up call that I'd end up here haha. ​

I went to school for graphic design and worked doing branding/social media out of college until I fell fully into the wedding industry and haven't looked back since. 

I'm always doing something creative from switching up my apartment (currently working on transforming it into my 70s paradise) or hosting cocktail nights with friends.
